In Praise of Being vs. Doing
Pastor Rick Warren said,
“We are human beings, not human doings.”
Sometimes I feel, when I wake up in the morning, that we often get caught up in all the things that we have to do, and the people we think we’re supposed to be.
The responsibilities, the chores, the jobs.
We get stuck in this whole act about who we’re supposed to be in the world and in society.
Sometimes we forget that in the midst of all the 9-5 routines we repeat year after year, that the most fulfilling days often don’t come from doing anything.
They come from just being.

What About You?
Have you found yourself so busy and jam-packed with your schedule, that you don’t even remember the last time you just did…nothing?
Does this video make you wonder what you would even do if you had a solid hour to yourself?
Does it make you realize that maybe what’s missing from life isn’t more doing, but something even easier – being?

Dear Mr. Heyne,
wisely spoken.
I was wondering -as I would really like to read your book- whether there might be any other way to purchase it other than via Amazon?
Best regards

Hey Nadine,
Currently, the best way if you live in another country is to get the Amazon Kindle app, and then you can download the book to read on your computer/tablet. Either that or the audiobook version.
