How to Lose Your Next 10 Pounds – The Healthy (Permanent) Way
Is it really just about calories?
What about going on a cleanse?
How about Weight Watchers?
Well… if it were really that simple, would you be reading this or watching this video?
People are starting to realize the truth: weight loss (and feeling better) isn’t as simple as eating bland, boring, rice cakes and liquid food that makes you feel like you’re 80 years old.
It’s not about fads, gimmicks, plans, potions, or pills found on unicorn poop in the amazon.
And in fact, a recent quote by a Harvard trained cardiologist shows why it’s not just about calories in today’s video.
A Simple (Healthy) Roadmap to Lose Your Next 10 Pounds
Now, I want to hear from you.
After watching the video above, what’s the big “why” behind why you actually want to lose weight?
Have you ever had that “aha” moment that there’s probably a better, healthier way than most people go about losing weight?

I want to feel better. I am in pain with my back and can’t move around well and I want to feel good and ease in body. Thanks for the video!
Glad it helped 🙂
I want to lose weight to improve my health by taking stress off my heart.
Hey Mark –
Thanks for sharing. What are you currently doing to get there?
-Alex
I want to lose 10 pounds because coming to college i gained about 15-20 pounds and I’m currently in my last year and I don’t feel like I have control over my body anymore. I feel like it has control over me and my emotional state. I feel like when I lose 10 pounds I will know anything is possible with hard work and perserverance as well as feel at peace again with my body and feel like its mine!
Loved it Jennifer! When you say it has control over you and your emotional state, what do you mean though?
Why do I want this? I’ve always been on the heavy side. It’s always bothered me, mostly because how I was raised. While I was going to school, I was able to find the time to workout or have a walk. I even lost a few pounds. I liked feeling strong. Numbers weren’t a big deal after a while. After school, I’ve been working a desk job for two years. At first, the travel wasn’t a big deal. But it takes so much of my time, and I’m so tired when I get home. I can’t seem to find time to do it. It’s been so long since I’ve exercised that even walking a little too fast will cause me pain. I mostly just want to feel strong again. I’m 27. I shouldn’t feel this way.
Hey Sasounchan,
Totally feel you when you said you’re so tired by the time you get home and can’t seem to find time to do it. We’ll talk more about this soon!
I feel all bloated and cannot fit into my clothes !I need to lose at least 30 lbs
to regain my energy and drive. My excess weight is impacting on my lower
body joints ,and I have constant pain ! I would like to enjoy my remaining years by travelling all over the world before my 95th birthday that,s 15 yrs .
regards Philippe
Hey Philippe,
Thanks for sharing – powerful story! I love the idea of getting healthier to travel the world.
Have lost some weight so far but have gotten to a plateau. Am exercising and watching what I eat but the last 10 to 15 pounds are not moving. Unfortunately all the hard work in the gym is covered up by these last few pounds and the motivation is slipping!!!
Hey Ron –
What are you currently doing to lose those 10-15 pounds?
-Alex
i am 70 years old!!! for heart health
nothing
Thanks for sharing Ian! I’ll give you some great strategies to work on overcoming it.
My idea of a good time is enjoying beauty which often involves hiking, skiing or other stamina requiring activities. I travel a bit internationally taking a faith based message of redemption supporting those impacted by disabilities. I need strength, endurance and flexibility in my body for these pursuits!
Melanie, this is awesome! What a great message – and a HUGE why/purpose beyond just losing weight.
to be able to fit the clothes i have in my wardrobe and feel good about myself
I do some things some of the time but I let go of my goals for not very good reasons. My body feels so much better and stronger when I am at a good weight. I am happier and not so concentrated on my weight and how I feel. I want to spend more time thinking less about my self-consciousness and more time being me and having the kind of live I enjoy. Motivation comes and goes too easily – I can’t rely on myself to watch for my own best interests.
thanks for your help, Pam
Hey Pam,
I found it interesting that you said you can’t rely on yourself to watch for your own best interests. What do you mean by that?
